- Eagle Mountains

The area of Eagle mountains and Podorlicko is situated in the north part of East Bohemia. Large part of this area is spread on the Královéhradecký territory and smaller part hit the Pardubické territory. The border of this area is limited by the ridge of Orlické mountains and by the line of Dobrošov, Dobruška, Opočno, Tyníště nad Orlicí, Choceň, Ústí nad Orlicí, Česká Třebová, Jabloné nad Orlicí and Lichkov.

Orlické mountains offer the ideal conditions for tourism, cyclotourism and in the winter mounths skiing and cross-country skiing in the well-known skiing centres, for example Deštné in Orlické mountains, Říčky or Zdobnice.

We can visit there some cultural and historical monuments. We can mention castles like Opočno, Rychnov nad Kněžnou, Častolovice and Doudleby nad Orlicí. Among the most visited ruins of castles belong Potštejn, Litice, Žampach and Lanšperk. Let´s remind also pilgrimage place Homol and baroque churche in Neratov, Liberk or Veliny. Another turistical interest is military fortification built for the defence against the danger from the Fascist Germany ( the most visited are Hanička, Bouda and Dobrošov ).
