- Sumava Mountains

Šumava mountains are situated along the border among the Czech republic, Germany and Austria. The length of mountains is from valley of Úhlava to gate Vyšebrodský průsmyk about 120 kilometres and width maximaly 45km. On the Šumava ridge goes the main European watershed between Black sea and North sea. At the Bavarian and Austrian side the mountains fall intensive, at the czech side dip slowly.

The highest mountain of Šumava mountains is Velký javor (1456) at the Bavarian side. the highest mountain at the Czech side is Plechý (1378m). Šumava mountains segment to six parts: Highland Železnorudská hornatina, Plains Šumavské pláně, Highland Boubínská hornatina, Highland Trojmezná hornatina, Highland Želnavská hornatina and Vltava´s furrow.

Part of this server is also area of Czech Forest mountains, that connect on north-west part of Šumava mountains. They begin in Domažlice saddle and finish near Cheb basin. The highest mountain is Čerchov (1042m). The third part of this server are also Novohradské mountains on the east.

The residence Čeňkova Pila is not far from the town of Srní, near Sušice, and is suitable for family recreation.
It has capacity for 8 people in two rooms with 4 beds per room. The rooms are equipped with basic furnishings. Both rooms share the bathroom. An equipped kitchenette is available (dishes, stove, refrigerator).
