Vltava River is the Longest River in Czech Republic. It begins at the confluence of two tributaries - Teplá Vltava and Studená Vltava - in the nature reserve Mrtvý Luh (Dead Mead), which lies near the small village Nová Pec in the Sumava mountains (Bohemian Forest).

One can hear the young streams of the river, going north and becoming a dignified river in Melnik where it joins the Elbe River You can learn more about the Czech composer if you visit the Museum of Bedrich Smetana, located on the bank of the Vltava River.
